All About The Crazy Kitchen

After years of living on my own, I started to realize that my life was getting really monotonous. Things were the same day after day. Get up, go to work, come home, and make something for dinner. It was pretty bad. I had become a robot.

How bad was it? Well, let’s just put it this way, one of the cashiers at the grocery store where I shopped noticed that I would get the same exact things every week.  I couldn’t believe it. I was really in a rut. No wonder it seemed like I was living in the movie “Groundhog Day”.

It was at that point that I decided things were going to change. In order to make that change a reality, I would need ideas. I would need recipes and lots of them. The problem was I didn’t have any. Naturally one would think to look in a cookbook. Problem was, I didn’t own any. So, I started watching some of the many cooking shows that are now on TV. Food Network was on constantly. I picked up many great ideas, but I was always too slow to jot down the recipes. Now what do I do?

Then it hit me! Fire up the computer, jump on the internet, and search for those recipes. I was amazed there was so much information out there. Cooking websites and food blogs  galore. I could probably cook a different thing for every meal for at least a year. There were no words that could describe how I felt.

I started cooking new things every day using recipes found on the internet. It was great, I finally felt alive. Soon, I started cooking too much food for me to eat. Since I did not want the food to go to waste, I decided to start sharing some of what I had made with friends and family. They absolutely loved it!

I would often get asked, “How did you make that?” or “Where did you get that idea or recipe?”. So, I started send emails to friends with links to what I had made. This got to take up a lot of my time so I started looking for a way to share the recipes I had found or were shared with me.

That is where the idea for “The Crazy Kitchen” originated.
